The Commission is happy to bring greetings to members of the Spiritual Shouter Baptist community. Together we remember the uneasy road to religious freedom that was paved with faith, hope and perseverance in equal abundance. Together, we can celebrate a community that fought to assert their legitimacy, and came out victorious. Spiritual Shouter Baptist Day commemorates a community, who fought for themselves and for the entire nation to arrive one-step closer towards decolonization. The Commission, therefore, wants to emphasize that the courage to stand up against prejudice and oppressive systems exists in all of us. We must all follow suit, take courage and act against all forms of discrimination and oppression.
