Merry Christmas from the Integrity Commission!
Christmas, like other religious and cultural celebrations, inspires a deep feeling of solemnity and reverence for the idea of sacrifice. It’s supposed to be the time of year when one puts aside petty rivalries, greed and individualism. It is the Commission’s hope that the spirit of the Christmas season encourages the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago to embrace altruism, goodwill and unity. Christmas should not serve as a short-term reminder of these values. Instead, the maintenance of these virtues must extend itself beyond the Christmas season into the coming year.
“I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.” (Job 27:6)
